Launch Party

To celebrate the launch of the new This Place Studio website (this one you're looking at right now), we decided to throw a party. We opened a temporary gallery on a sunny fall weekend in Brooklyn featuring zero-waste floral and lighting installations and Vietnamese snacks on the sidewalk. Taking place during the Covid-19 pandemic in New York, the party had strict CDC guidelines in place to ensure guest safety and social responsibility.

The lemongrass for the large scale floral installation installation came from Treiber Farms, a family run sustainable farm out on the North Fork, and was donated to local chefs after breakdown. No floral foam, chemicals or plastic material was used in the piece.

The lighting installation used zero single use plastics, and the vinyl branding throughout the space was printed using eco-solvent ink on a sustainable, non plastic coated paper.
